GET INVOLVED
By offering the gift of your time and talent, compassion, and support you can make a difference in someone’s life and in the Chaplains on the Way community. We have a variety of ways for you to engage your skills and talents. Please contact us if you are interested in learning more about the volunteer opportunities below:

PASTORAL CARE VISITOR
Pastoral care visitors go to various locations throughout Waltham to offer companionship and a calm, non-judgmental presence to those experiencing homelessness and extreme poverty. If you have the heart to listen to others’ stories and bear witness to their hardships, this may be just the volunteer opportunity for you!

MINISTERIAL INTERNSHIPS
If you are a seminarian and have a desire for service and feel called to care for those experiencing homelessness and poverty, this might be the perfect volunteer opportunity for you. Chaplains on the Way is a field education site for Boston University School of Theology and accepts students from all of the Boston Theological Institute seminaries for internships.

Your donation to Chaplains on the Way helps bring the much-needed ministry of spiritual companionship and hope to the men and women who are experiencing homelessness in Waltham. Every dollar you give makes a difference. And because the Chaplains on the Way is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, your donation is tax-deductible. Chaplains on the Way is also able to receive stock donations.

ORGANIZATIONAL VOLUNTEER
Chaplains on the Way is a small but mighty organization that depends on the energy, enthusiasm, and passion of its dedicated volunteers. Do you have experience in accounting or finance? Are you social media savvy? Do you have fundraising skills? Do you have some legal acumen? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, we would love you to join us!
